Academics alone will never produce self-control that governs impulses, resilience that endures hardship, or moral courage that withstands worldly pressure. It is only through the intentional formation of a child's heart that such fruit can be cultivated.
Day after day, interaction after interaction, we show children what love looks like, what respect sounds like, what forgiveness feels like, and what kindness does for others.
Little things send BIG messages. A lot of little things neglected will eventually ruin something good. A lot of little things remembered will create something beautiful.
A parent's holy duty is more than raising children.
It’s a divine calling to partner with God in the formation of an eternal soul.

In 1828, Noah Webster published an all-encompassing definition of education for our new republic. It read: Education comprehends that series of instruction and discipline which is intended to enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and form the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations. To give children a good education in manners, arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties.
As education has moved further from its original intent, heart formation has been relegated to the margins. Children are given facts and figures without moral anchors. More information, but less wisdom.
We are producing generations more informed than ever, yet increasingly anxious, divided, disrespectful, and uncertain of who they are. Information alone cannot cultivate integrity. Knowledge cannot produce self-control. Academic success cannot substitute for moral wisdom.
"The purpose of education has been strategically redefined. And I believe it is one of the greatest tragedies of our nation’s 250-year history."

Armed with good intentions, we have created a Formation Gap in America’s youth – a devastating divide between intellectual development and heart development. A gap between head knowledge and heart formation. A gap between the problem and the solution.
Our children are suffering.
We are seeing rising rates of anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-harm, addiction, violence, and suicide among our children.
Why then, after pouring unprecedented resources into the problem, are children not getting better?
