The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has constituted a High-Powered Committee on the Inner Line Permit (ILP) Framework, one of the four committees announced following the recent consultative meetings with stakeholders across the State.

Headed by Hon’ble Minister Shri @wangsu_d Ji, the Committee has been tasked with examining and recommending measures for further strengthening and enhancing the implementation of the Inner Line Permit framework, along with all consequential and related matters.

Witnessed the 1st Ever Tai Khamti Manuscripts Reading and Audio Documentation Meet at the Centre for Tai Khamti Language and Folk Culture at Chongkham today.

The programme is a meaningful step towards preserving the rich literary, cultural, and spiritual heritage of the Tai Khamti community. Many of our centuries old manuscripts, including sacred Dhamma texts, are facing gradual deterioration over time.

Urgent need of digitization and audio documention of these invaluable texts to ensure their preservation for future generations have necessited the establishment of such centre.

It will help to preserve and promote the age old script, especially among our youth, so that our language, traditions, and cultural identity continue to thrive.

My sincere appreciation to the Bhikkhu Sangha, manuscript reading experts, community based organizations, and all those involved in this noble initiative to safeguard and revitalize our precious heritage.

The State Cabinet has approved the framing of the “Arunachal Pradesh Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Rules, 2026,” operationalising the provisions of the 2024 Act through clear enforcement, monitoring, and accountability mechanisms to curb question paper leakages and unfair practices in recruitment examinations.

The decision strengthens the State’s commitment towards transparent, fair, and merit-based recruitment.

Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, has approved an outlay of ₹5,659.22 crore for the Mission for Cotton Productivity (2026–27 to 2030–31) to address key challenges such as stagnating yields, quality concerns, and structural bottlenecks in India’s cotton sector.

Aligned with the Government of India’s 5F vision—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign—the mission aims to enhance productivity.

The initiative seeks to ensure the supply of low-contaminant, high-quality cotton to industry while strengthening India’s position in global markets through the promotion of premium cotton exports.

Reforms in the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 replace imprisonment with monetary penalties for non-disclosure, while provisions under the Coir Industry Act, 1953 are removed to reduce outdated regulatory requirements. These changes ease compliance, reduce legal burden, and support a more practical and citizen-friendly regulatory framework.

Today, attended TECHXPLORE 2.0 – Inter Polytechnic College Meet 2026 at C.P. Namchoom Government Polytechnic College, Namsai.

On the occasion, paid a heartfelt tribute to Late C.P. Namchoom Ji by unveiling his brass statue. He was my mentor, a visionary leader, and someone with whom I shared a very close and cordial relationship. His legacy will continue to inspire generations.

Also, inaugurated the newly constructed auditorium, which will serve as a vibrant hub for learning and innovation.

In today’s competitive world, skill development, entrepreneurship, and adapting to the evolving technological world is vital. Our youth must move from being job seekers to job creators and build a self-reliant future.

Events like TECHXPLORE 2.0 provide an ideal platform for innovation and collaboration.

Our traditions are not only reflected in places of worship, but also in the invaluable manuscripts, scriptures, and knowledge systems passed down through generations. These texts, written in our own script, including revered works like the Ramayana and Mahabharata are a priceless part of our identity. It is our collective responsibility to preserve them, digitize them, and make them accessible for future generations, including through translation into English so their wisdom reaches a wider audience.

Inspired by national efforts to conserve India’s manuscript heritage, we are encouraging scholars and community members to take this mission forward with dedication. Preserving our language, script, and cultural knowledge is essential to ensuring that future generations remain connected to their roots.

This Vihara is not just a place of prayer, it is a symbol of our commitment to safeguard our culture and pass it on with pride and purpose.

May it continue to inspire peace, learning, and cultural continuity for generations to come.

On this day, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama entered India after a courageous and arduous journey across the Himalayas, seeking refuge and hope amidst challenging times.
