As a former associate program director of a residency program, I request that programs and interviewers give candidates the FULL time allocated.

🔹 Personal Statement – Review it thoroughly and be ready to answer questions about the details mentioned.

🔹 Meaningful Experiences – Reflect on the three you highlighted: why you chose them, the key characteristics they demonstrate, and how those experiences will shape you as a resident.

🔹 All Experiences – Revisit each one of the experiences to identify the lessons learned, and be prepared to elaborate on the sentences mentioned under each experience as well.

🔹 Research & Scholarly Work – Practice explaining your projects clearly and concisely, as if giving a brief abstract.

💡 Above all, be authentic, confident, and free-flowing in your conversations. Don’t overcomplicate the process—for yourself or for others.
