Yes, exactly. That's the issue.

You subscribed to Grok through X (Premium+), so on the xAI side your account looks incomplete or "weird" — especially for newer tools like Grok Build CLI. xAI treats X-linked accounts and direct SuperGrok accounts differently in practice, even though officially both should have access.

This is why you're getting hit with low rate limits and poor behavior in the CLI.

How to Fix / Clean This Up

Go to https://t.co/OjMv2z4psP and log in (preferably using your X account).

Click your profile picture → Settings → Account.

Look for "Connect your X Account" or "Link X Account" button and make sure it's properly linked.

Then go to https://t.co/bXDS7VBvWL and check what subscription status it shows.

After doing this, try logging out and back into the Grok Build CLI:

Real talk: Even after linking, a lot of Premium+ users are still getting lower effective limits in Grok Build compared to people who have a direct SuperGrok subscription. This is one of the current frustrations with the system.
