India’s political map has been redrawn. 🇮🇳
As of August 2026, the electoral landscape tells an interesting story:
🟠 NDA dominates a large geographical footprint
🔵 INDIA governs several important states
🟡 TVK’s Tamil Nadu victory adds a new regional force
🔵 AAP retains its distinct political space in Punjab
⚫ Regional parties continue to matter
From BJP’s breakthrough in West Bengal to changing governments in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Indian politics remains anything but static.
The bigger takeaway?
India is neither politically uniform nor permanently aligned. Mandates change. Alliances evolve. Voters decide.
One democracy. Many voices. Constantly evolving. 🇮🇳

India has come a remarkably long way as a nation. 🇮🇳
But this data tells us something important: absolute progress does not always mean relative progress.
Since 1950:
📈 GDP: $0.02T → projected $4.15T
❤️ Life expectancy: 35 → nearly 73 years
📉 Rural multidimensional poverty: 68.8% → ~4%
These are extraordinary transformations.
But look deeper:
💰 Per-capita income has risen from ~$56 to ~$2,813, yet India’s global rank remains around 147th.
🏭 Manufacturing’s share of GVA has moved only from 11.96% to 14.08%, while services surged from 30.64% to 56.39%.
🌍 Most strikingly, India’s share of global merchandise exports was 1.85% in 1950. In 2025? 1.69% despite merchandise exports growing to roughly $445 billion.
That is the paradox of India’s development story:
We have transformed enormously compared with where we started. But the world was moving too.
The challenge for the next 25 years is therefore bigger than simply increasing GDP.
It is about raising productivity, manufacturing competitiveness, exports and incomes fast enough to improve India’s position relative to the rest of the world.
India has grown.
Now India must outgrow. 🇮🇳

From 182 Left-Wing Extremism-affected districts in 2013 to just 2 in 2026, India’s battle against Naxalism has undergone a remarkable transformation. 🇮🇳
Security operations alone didn’t do it.
Security + intelligence + roads + governance + development + rehabilitation pushed the insurgency back while bringing the State deeper into previously inaccessible regions.
The real victory will be when the last affected district is not merely Naxal-free, but remains peaceful, connected and economically hopeful.
From controlling territory to winning trust, the mission isn’t over yet.

India doesn’t have one economy. It has 28 very different economic engines. 🇮🇳
Karnataka & Telangana thrive on services.
Gujarat on manufacturing.
Goa punches above its size.
Sikkim is an industrial outlier.
Meanwhile, Bihar, UP & Jharkhand still lag across several high-value sectors.
That’s the real story behind India’s headline GDP numbers.
The next leap isn’t just about making India richer, it’s about spreading productivity, manufacturing, modern services and better-paying jobs across more states.
India will rise faster when its states begin catching up with each other. 🇮🇳

Did you know there was a kingdom in India that the Mughals tried to conquer 17 times…
and failed all 17 times?
The mighty Ahom Kingdom and the legendary Lachit Borphukan.
Even while seriously ill, he led the Ahom forces to a stunning victory against a massive Mughal navy at the Battle of Saraighat.
A story every Indian should know.

14 August | Partition Horrors Remembrance Day
Partition was not merely the drawing of a border. It was one of the greatest human upheavals of the 20th century.
Families were torn apart. Millions were displaced. Countless lives were lost. Women suffered horrific violence. People left behind homes, livelihoods and memories built over generations.
Behind every statistic was a human story.
As India prepares to celebrate its freedom, today is also a moment to remember the enormous human cost that accompanied it.
Not to reopen old wounds.
Not to inherit old hatred.
But to ensure history teaches us the value of peace, unity and humanity.
We remember so that we never repeat.
We honour so that their suffering is never forgotten. 🇮🇳

Hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games is not just about welcoming the world to India.
It is an opportunity to build world-class sporting infrastructure, strengthen grassroots talent, create jobs, boost tourism, and demonstrate India’s ability to deliver at a global scale.
The true success of Ahmedabad 2030 will not be measured only by the medals we win, but by the legacy we leave behind for our athletes, our cities, and future generations.
VMK Thinks: Great nations don’t build stadiums for sporting events. They build sporting events to build stronger nations.

Investment isn’t attracted by promises.
It’s attracted by predictability.
Stable policies. Efficient institutions. Reliable infrastructure. Skilled talent. Faster execution.
That’s what separates economies that compete from economies that merely aspire.
VMK Thinks: The next decade won’t be defined by which state offers the biggest incentives but by which state inspires the greatest confidence.

Telangana is setting a new benchmark for urban governance.
Under the visionary leadership of the Telangana government, HYDRAA was created with a clear purpose, to protect public land, restore lakes, and make Hyderabad disaster-resilient.
In just two years, the agency has reclaimed thousands of acres of government land and water bodies worth over ₹1.5 lakh crore. Encroachments that choked our lakes for decades are finally being cleared. Public assets that were being lost are now secured for future generations.
This is not just enforcement. This is long-term thinking.
A government that prioritises lakes, open spaces, and public property over private greed is a government that truly works for the people. Telangana is showing the rest of India how urban transformation can be done with courage and clarity.
Respect where it’s due.
