Chrissie Hynde completely owning the stage back in July 2009, captured by music photographer Mick Hutson. This shot was taken at London's historic Roundhouse during the iTunes Festival, catching The Pretenders' legendary leader totally lost in the music.

Hutson did a fantastic job using the venue's deep blue spotlighting to lock in on her classic look, highlighting that sharp grey vest and patterned tie paired with her trusty Fender Telecaster. It’s an incredible time capsule of an uncompromising trailblazer firing on all cylinders decades into her career, perfectly capturing the raw power, attitude, and timeless style that makes her one of rock's greatest frontwomen.

Bob Marley’s iconic, radiant smile, captured here by photojournalist David Burnett back in 1976.

The late seventies were a wildly chaotic and dangerous time for Bob. This shot catches him right around the era of the infamous assassination attempt at his Kingston home, a terrifying event that eventually led to his exile in London, where he channeled everything into writing his masterpiece, Exodus.

Following a devastating earthquake in late 1988, a massive lineup of rock royalty banded together to record a charity cover of Deep Purple’s absolute classic Smoke on the Water. David Gilmour was the very first icon to sign onto the project, and Brian May jumped at the chance to join him. The project actually started tracking in July, but Brian May had broken his arm just a few days prior and couldn't play. By the time August rolled around, he had healed up just enough to head into the studio with Gilmour and finally lay down his guitar parts.
