As someone who has had more than my fair share of Christmas bereavements I can attest to great wisdom of @IrishHospice head of bereavement @OrlaKeegan in interview with @IrishTimes Sheila Wayman.
The advice that really resonates is "Mind yourself"!

Just been to my six year-old's nativity play at his S Dublin school. Kids from Turkey, China, India, S Africa, Kenya.
They all sang Away in a Manger in Irish, Sa stábla, sa mháinséar. Loudly.
This is modern Ireland. The attractiveness of our culture, the warmth of its welcome.
The impulse to help each other is built into our genes; it is coded within our species. We have a "soul contract" to help each other. I'm convinced of it. We all, each of us, feel this impulse.
A joy to attend the launch of Sister Isabelle Smyth MMM’s book “Called to an Extraordinary Adventure in Faith”. This book recounts Sr Isabelle’s life working across the world over many decades implementing healthcare and working to address injustices

The blessed day Syria broke free from a regime that brutalized its own people for over 50 years.
The blessed day Syrians rolled up their sleeves to start rebuilding their homeland on the foundations of freedom, equality, justice, and democracy.
We Syrians can't sleep, can't close our eyes, can't eat—we are counting the seconds, the minutes, and the hours until Syria is free.
Our emotions are high, our adrenaline reaching the sky.
Freedom is coming...
Please, let us continue to pray for peace! War is a human defeat; it does not solve problems but only brings destruction. So many children and innocents die! Let us pray for all countries at war. Let us always pray for peace.
War never truly left Syria—it was only postponed. Syrians have suffered immensely and deserve a chance at a normal life. Our focus must be on protecting civilians, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or politics. Their lives are sacred. In the chaos of war, humanity must prevail
Delighted to welcome @Ross__Byrne and @EithneHarley to the board of @IrishHospice Foundation.
