Introducing Guilds (devnet and public testing) 👥

This is the start of a series of upgrades to UTK Metastaking and the merchants ⮂ consumer relationship in the xMoney ecosystem.

Guilds are a next-gen mechanism leveraging staking components to connect buyers with merchants and provide additional benefits beyond standard on-chain rewards.

With it, we’re excited to present a few new concepts:

💼 Guild Masters: guild owners (min. 500K UTK)

Guild Masters' APR is tiered based on the number of UTK in their pool, driving competition to offer the best rewards and attract Guild Members - up to 20% APR.

💳 Guild Members: consumers/holders (min. 100 UTK)

Guild Members' APR is tiered based on the % of total supply staked. As more people stake, the higher the APR - up to 15%.

And this is just a small part of UTK 3.0!

More details, including other unique utilities, will be shared as we prepare for the live release.
Spoiler: Anyone staking UTK will be part of an exclusive DAO holding significant decision-making power.

We’re releasing it first on the MultiversX devnet. It’s an environment intended for testing only, where tokens hold no real-world value. Still, it functions as a regular blockchain network where the devnet EGLD version is needed for fees.

To get gas tokens, use the ↔️ Faucet available on the Web Wallet https://t.co/PZGJjptjLL - located on the left side menu, under “Tools”.

Now let’s jump right into the action.

Our testing session will take place on the dedicated Guilds page https://t.co/023lehsy5c.

Here you can connect the same wallet address used during the previous step and request an additional 5000 xUTK. These will be useful for you to go through all the flows.

Recommended actions:

1. Join a Guild
¤ Find all guilds by pressing the “Join a Guild” button

2. Stake 500 xUTK
¤ Now the guild you are part of will start earning rewards for you

3. Claim (rewards)
¤ These go directly into your available balance

4. Restake rewards
¤ These add to your staking position

5. Check data
¤ Make sure everything checks out in the ‘Dashboard’ section

6. Unstake UTK (not all)
¤ Withdraw 50%, leave the other half staked

7. Actions to take later on
¤ We might perform TBA actions that will also include the Migrate functionality during this testing round

8. Feel free to play around & report any issues
¤ The devnet environment will be up for 2 weeks

After the recent launches of our Quest Portal and the Community Grant Program, we are excited to announce another initiative supporting builders and contributors on MultiversX: The Building Blocks Grant Program.

With direct support from the MultiversX Foundation, Building Blocks aims to empower builders and projects by covering gas fees and enabling them to scale their blockchain footprint during the early stages of growth.

Building Block Grant Program Overview
🌱 Grant Size: Up to $2,000 (in EGLD) per project per month. Up to 10 projects will be selected for an initial duration of 6 months.

⚡️ Purpose: Cover the gas fees (beyond their current volume) incurred by projects’ increased transactions.

🧱 Eligible Recipients: Builders and projects with a proven track record of delivery on MultiversX.

Goals and Objectives
The Building Blocks program is designed to accelerate growth in the MultiversX ecosystem, support builders in scaling their businesses, and encourage innovative experiments that utilize the MultiversX infrastructure to its fullest potential.

Additionally, it aims to demonstrate @MultiversX’s capacity for high performance by significantly increasing on-chain metrics and encouraging new experiments.
