In @G7 Leaders’ call on the Middle East, I reiterated the EU’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks against Israel and support the right of Israel to defend itself in accordance with international humanitarian law.

All parties must exercise restraint and de-escalate to avoid a regional war. Crucial to continue efforts towards securing a sustainable ceasefire in Lebanon.

A ceasefire agreement in Gaza, release of hostages and addressing the urgent humanitarian situation is critical.

We fully support @UN efforts and stand by its Secretary General @antonioguterres.
