@choose901 Nice. I would prioritize repairs and updates of the park and facilities, so that any new park features can be enjoyed and accessed year-round by locals and tourists.
#NEW: how much damage did Memphis In May do to Tom Lee Park?
How much will it cost taxpayers to repair?
I asked for the $$$ amount in June.
MIM wonβt release the info until August.
MRPP wonβt say.
And the City of Memphis is making Action News 5 FOIA the info.

@holly_sayshello @ericawonders I think people associate "going downtown" with the immediate area around Beale and South Main. That part of downtown is kind of hidden away for most people.
@holly_sayshello For me it's the location and parking. The food and staff are AMAZING. I have told a lot of people about the place, and consider car pooling. We've also included them in our weekend running route a few times, just not recently (location).
@SenWarren I don't think cancelling everyone's student debt is fair, as I have seen students use that money for unrelated expenses. I think a set of policies & procedures to determine who could eligible for student loan forgiveness would be a great start instead.
@JordanP_901 Nope. It happens in the men's room all the time. I should add that the dudes multitasking do not have earbuds and, grossly, don't wash hands either π€’π€’π€’
@LegalizeitLala I follow a lot of people I don't agree with. It gives me a broader perspective of the topics that matter to me. I think the part about seeking to cause problems is the one that usually means it's a troll. Disagreement is okay. Trolling = getting blocked.
@WMCActionNews5 I'd advise them: don't immediately buy a house. Try the different areas out. You may love downtown, midtown, or the suburbs, or you may love different types of conveniences. Memphis is a residential city, each neighborhood has its own identity and advantages.
@SenWarren@POTUS This is not a progressive solution. Who will pay for this? Us, taxpayers. Us, the shrinking middle class. There isn't one single guarantee that they would start their own business or proof that this would stimulate the economy in any significant way.
@JordanP_901 Frankly, the drills are necessary as we don't have a different route to control the number of firearms that are out there, nor who can or cannot get them. It's a sad de-evolution of society, and as a result, normalizes the issue.
@WMCActionNews5 IMO, learning to write cursive teaches the person how to follow a process, pay attention to details, and how to be patient. It's not about just learning to write pretty letters. Those three skills are super useful in professional life.
