When an Indian citizen dies abroad and the original passport is unavailable, our embassies issue an NOC after verification. Yet, Indian immigration authorities insist on original passport and penalize airlines.
This causes painful delays for grieving families.
We earnestly urge @PMOIndia to resolve this.
