Do these backwards people trying to shut down libraries and ban books understand that the real danger to young people is online?? It’s like outlawing horse transportation after cars were invented. Wondering how many of their children are busy online, without supervision?
"When babies die at a church school, it is time for us to move beyond thoughts and prayers. Remind our lawmakers of the words of the British statesman Edmund Burke: 'All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.'"

“When babies die at a church school, it is time for us to move beyond thoughts and prayers,” Senate Chaplain Barry C. Black says.
“Lord, deliver our senators from the paralysis of analysis that waits for the miraculous.”
Let us ask the Virgin Mary to touch the hearts of those who can stop the war in Ukraine. Let us not forget the suffering of those people, especially of the babies, the elderly, the people who are sick. Let us #PrayTogether.
I carried an M16 and M4 in the military, so let me be clear:
High-powered rifles designed for our troops to engage an enemy with accurate, lethal fire at a velocity of 3,000 feet per second have no place on our streets.
I fully support an assault weapons ban.
Nothing to see here. Just two composers round the piano on a Saturday evening…
I had a blast up there with you, @Lin_Manuel. Thank you. - ALW

We are voting to protect kids from the next school shooting. Every GOP member is opposed. So I asked my GOP colleagues, "Who are you here for? Our kids or the killers."
I can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said, but to my friends walking into school buildings today with these murdered teachers and children on your shoulders, I am with you, I am thinking about you ❤️❤️❤️
50 GOP Senators could vote for H.R. 8, universal background checks, TODAY. Every Senator who backs McCONNELL in blocking a vote has the blood of children on their hands.
Personally, I feel like we’re entitled to expect our Supreme Court justices to be better role models. Or, at least, to have an ounce of decency. Putting on a mask would have cost Gorsuch nothing, but then he didn’t care about risk to front line workers, either.
