Federal agents raided a $35 million mansion in Newport Coast, California, and arrested 63-year-old Jamshid Ghomi, a dual U.S.-Iranian citizen.
Ghomi, CEO of an Iran-based tech company, is charged with conspiring to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
He is accused of illegally selling sophisticated U.S.-origin computer hardware (networking, security, and encryption equipment) to Iran’s military and nuclear programs for years, earning millions of dollars while using elaborate schemes — including front companies and intermediaries — to hide the transactions.
Ghomi is expected to appear in Santa Ana federal court this afternoon.
Prosecutors are also seeking to seize his $35 million mansion and other assets.

So let’s make Jennifer Koonings famous. Let’s make sure 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 knows that their provider is on video screaming antisemitic slurs at Jewish people in Times Square. Let’s make sure every Jewish patient and family considering their services sees exactly who is behind the door.
