I'm sorry. I try to ignore posting negative things, but I can't help myself. I hate this so much.
In what world do you think you'll lead a better, healthier life by using AI to "feel seen and supported"? Or as your "friendly guide through life"?
It feels like this was a product built to take advantage of emotionally vulnerable people. And even if that wasn't intentional, it's absolutely happening.
Which sucks, because for those people, AI can't help you here. Short term - maybe. And that's a BIG maybe. If anything, using AI in this way will be detrimental to you emotionally, mentally, spiritually, socially, and potentially even physically.
Do not use this app.
Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros. and Kirby, is warning that AI could lead to a flood of unoriginal games.
Sakurai points out that Steam has gone from around 275 game releases a year in 2010 to more than 19,000 today
“AI can create games, but it can’t create something truly original.”
Sakurai also argues that originality means creating something players don’t even know they want yet.
He uses Fumito Ueda as an example, saying AI could imitate the style of games like ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, but it wouldn’t know what Ueda himself would create next.
I'm on day 10 of waiting for @github to restore my account, with only an automated reply so far.
This affects users of Pyxel, my game engine with over 1.7M downloads. I sincerely hope access is restored soon.
Please support me with a like or repost!

I've set up a new Pyxel site while I wait for my GitHub account to be restored. Reposts appreciated!

No I didn't give them permission to pretend to have made my work.. AI companies being scumbags, what else is new?
FYI even with CC0 licensing this isn't allowed. CC0 only governs usage, not authorship. You don't have to credit me but you can't pretend you made it yourself.. 😒
The current state of AI companies; they're aware they can't create game assets as good as ours so they just take them and then claim they were generated using their slop machines. A new low, every single day.
@higgsfield_ai - any comment?

Arco has +150 reviews, 98% being positive ✨
Sadly, we are struggling to make people notice about the game itself, being considered already as a "hidden gem"💎
Our gameplay trailer shows how Arco works, and hopefully it will catch your eye 👀
A RT will help us A LOT🙏
The Crimson Diamond is now available on @itchio for PC & Mac! $14.99 USD - I'm very sorry no launch discount, I was unaware of that until someone pointed it out & by that time people had already bought it. I would feel bad for them! 😖 I need a nap. https://t.co/zyuwMj85Fl
my first game Gourdlets is OUT NOW!! ✨
Build the perfect little town and watch as the gourdlets make themselves at home. No objectives, no points, just good vibes.
It would mean the world to me if you could retweet this and try the game on Steam 💜 https://t.co/5yGIMSpXB7
This is it! After 9 years of work, @PixelArtAcademy finally got released also on Steam!
If you ever wanted to learn pixel art, now you can do it in a video game as well: https://t.co/4Ros0a2UDf
We are so hyped, this is our new game ... *drum roll*
PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant
The game comes from a love of pressing satisfying buttons and a fascination of old cockpits.
Mix that with a bit of escape room and "Papers, Please" and you got PVKK.
Been waiting a long time to be able to say these words
I am thrilled to finally share with you the project that I have been pouring my heart and my soul into: Wanderstop
On behalf of myself, and everyone at Ivy Road who worked so hard on this, I sincerely hope you enjoy it 💖
Honestly, I don't particularly care if Tango or Arkane Austin's games sold well or not. If Xbox's leadership is incapable of guiding two talent-rich studios towards whatever version of success they need, then they are incapable of doing their jobs.
