"Honda is using money originally earmarked for EVs to fund the development of its next-generation hybrids" Japan funneling more EV money towards the oil and gas industry: https://t.co/Ob7LrcgqTp via @motor1com
@Waitreallywow@USARice000@Hissterically Rey being "No one" is not ending a thread! It only opens up more questions, and in a much more interesting and thought-provoking way than "Palpatine's spawn". on one hand, fundamental questions about the force and science in star wars. On the other hand, yet another old white guy
@IMAO_ "The Rise of Skywalker" was 10 times worse. It's what you get when obsessive fans try to dictate what the movie should be, instead of letting teams create. We could have had a decent finale but got crap. Storytelling should not be done by a committee. See: https://t.co/CDKGrdn2r4
@metaphorician Beautiful execution! Idk if this makes sense but like others have said: what about viewing from the South (to enable clockwise rotation) but overlaying with a view of northern hemisphere continents as if viewed "through" the Earth? Someone tell me if that's illogical
@currentiyke Notice how Rey and Jannah never appear in the same shot? It's all close-ups. These actors were never in the same place at the same time. So J.J. had no idea what he was doing when he made this. They stitched together these shots in the editing room to try to make a coherent scene
@eskplorer@SawyerMerritt "Optional steer by wire" is a big clue that the feature has not been released or tested in production yet. One optional feature mandates a completely different steering mechanism production line? There is no way that is real.
@Sasshi @DillonLoomis@grok Thanks for all the info! So basically the company has committed to upgrading/retrofitting HW3 cars until they are UFSD capable. But not that UFSD capabilities will be a part of your existing FSD subscription
@Sasshi @DillonLoomis@grok Absolutely nowhere in the fine print (nor in Elon's promises) does your existing FSD subscription come with a free future "update" to become Unsupervised... FSD Supervised was always promised as A->B transport "hands-free" not "human-free"
@Nikol91535160@DillonLoomis Unsupervised and supervised are different products, just because FSD gets good enough doesn't mean it will get an "unsupervised" label, it's going to be a separate subscription with completely different abilities than what is currently offered with FSD.
@jtimsuggs It's a bunch of stills cut with random fly-by shots. Not even the ILLUSION of camera work. Lifeless and uninspired CGI they tried to jazz up in the editing room. This film is a disgrace
@DiscussingFilm Will be tough to surpass the Chris Columbus films (1 & 2) since they were so true to the books! HUGE opportunity to do justice to the series from book 4 onwards
@STARIKSU98@BestMovieMom agreed, his disillusionment and cynicism was way more believable to me as a viewer than some happy-go-lucky Luke Skywalker all these years later. I mean, the empire actually came back and his student went to the dark side. great writing imo
@Kal_El_0724@jtimsuggs Correct. Fan service... lore correction... how about just making a good movie?? seems like JJ forgot about that part. They should have kept the original script for 9 and let Colin T direct as planned instead of making a stupid JJ sandwich
@HilltopHorror@jtimsuggs Nah, I didn't come just to see some blue saber, despite what JJ assumed about the Star Wars fanbase. A coherent story would have been the bare minimum. Adherence with the other films is secondary to just making a good movie, too bad JJ made that his whole personality
@jtimsuggs All close-ups and quick panning. the fight completely lacks any weight and it was even shot badly. compare to the fight in Snoke's throne room in the previous film, had everyone on the edge of their seats. Palpatine just sitting there dumbly? This film was unwatchable garbage
