Pulisic skipped the Gold Cup—much to the dismay of many current & former teammates & his coach—to be “best ready” for the World Cup.
He then went 6 months without scoring before the World Cup & then in the 5 games of the World Cup he missed one & left two early with injury.
I can't anymore. The whining, the entitlement, the poor-me theatrics. Yes of course you live under a microscope. You're the country's best player.
And compared to every other ⚽️ country, you have it so easy.
“Stop eating out.”
“Use a flip phone.”
“Buy a 1996 Corolla.”
Brother, my parents bought a house for $90k when gas was 80 cents and college cost $4. I’m out here bidding against Blackrock and Chinese hedge funds for a 900 sq ft shack next to a freeway.
In fairness to Donald Trump, he campaigned on everything he's doing. You're changing up now because you're starting to see this isn't just hurting the people that you were ok with being hurt.
I'm tired of beating around the bush. I don't want to hear the GOAT talk when it comes to Jon. I'm sorry.
You cannot be the GOAT if you have multiple PED infractions on your record.
You cannot be the GOAT if you didn't want to do what others did for you. Time-honored tradition, you fight the top contenders.
Not only was Tom Aspinall the top contender, he was the interim champion for almost 2 years.
It's really sad that people only see one side of EVERY situation. Do you realize that every kid who goes to college, especially those who transfer, often comes from families with varying levels of wealth, not every kid is poor! We don't blame coaches for chasing money do we…While money can be a factor in these decisions, it's not always about that. Sometimes kids just want to play, and it may be a bad fit for them or playing time!
Why are we, as a country, so quick to focus on the negative? It’s unfair to assume that every kid is just chasing a dollar. When a kid commits to a program, everyone is happy, but when they decide to leave, suddenly they get thrown under the bus. That’s not right.
I’ll say it again: not every kid is motivated strictly by money, does it help, hell yes!!! I know a girl who was in a basketball program with the opportunity to play for elite team that is still in the tournament today. She turned that down to stay loyal to her coach. So let's stop jumping to the conclusion that it's always about financial gain because, in many cases, it's simply not. It’s easy to make decisions about someone else’s kid put your kid in the situation. What the hell would you do? We’re so quick to be critical of others but not ourselves. #Illini #NCAA
I maintain that I hate this idea. This is not the NFL where you don’t play every team. This isn’t the NBA where you play 81 games. You play every team. You play home. You play away. Changing this fundamentally changes the integrity of the competition.
