Also, the trench in which pipeline is to be laid has to have a minimum of 4.8to 5 meters deep.
But to reduce the cost, JSIW contractor is evading technical specifications by not digging the trench deep enough and by using no sand bedding at all.

Before laying the pipeline, good quality sand bed has to be prepared which will hold down the pipeline when there is no water flowing through. But with this project no such bed is being prepared. This will lead to waterlogging in the future.

These along with many such technical specification evasions to cut the cost are a clear case of corruption. Not only that but when the project gets up and running the area would be water logged and government will have to spend taxpayers money to maintain the pipeline network.
