Some pictures from last week’s Island Games. I’ve got severe withdrawal symptoms! Great event, great people. Learned a lot about myself in that environment. The kids are fast, this might be my one and only Games, but I loved it. Particular thanks to the guys that won me a medal!

So, have Easyjet got operational issues or are they just giving up on the IOM because we keep messing them around at the airport? Gatwick flights cancelled more often than not and Liverpool now seemingly get cancelled more often. Maybe a bit of both but it’s hurting the Island.

@Amadeus_IOM Cheers, already ridiculous that I’m travelling back from London via the North to avoid Gatwick being cancelled on a Friday evening, now might have to change my Easyjet Liverpool to a Loganair or ferry! Helpful to know why they are being cancelled. Thanks

Bit of a strange senior race day without the senior race, but a cracker none the less. Caught both races, two open water swims and a BBQ on the beach. A day to really appreciate the Isle of Man at its best.

@Gedpower @ManxFreeState I got a nice chap who was helpful. However, he was sat on the police station. He used to be in the IOM police. He had heard about the case I was complaining about. I don’t want to criticise him, he was helpful. But I then had to doubt independence.

@Gedpower @ManxFreeState I tried to make a complaint and who do you have to call, yep, the police. I even got a policeman that I knew. He wanted to know what I was complaining about before he would let me speak to the “independent” complaints person. I refused, eventually he gave me the person’s number.

I imagine the level of awarded costs was high and damage to Nobles has been even greater.

Really pleased to “announce” I’ve been selected for the Isle of Man Triathlon team for the Island Games. Can’t wait to represent the IOM for the first time in about 30 years (Guinness intervened). Thanks to my daughter for (mostly) tolerating my training 🇮🇲
