people like this: that sign doesn’t affect me because I can’t read!
They have this dude with a cute lil footnote about how he abused a woman but ig "they took a picture with chris brown" would seem stupid to add a footnote about so instead they made a whole song and dance about it
The real sickness isn’t just the double standard, it’s the performative outrage industrial complex that this influencer (and so many others) keep feeding.
She filmed herself sobbing and screaming about RM and J-Hope attending Chris Brown’s show, framed it as a moral crisis, and harvested thousands of views, comments, and righteous ARMY pile-ons. Then, days later, she was in a suite at the Arlington BTS concerts, smiling for the camera, and posting the classic “I’m here but that doesn’t mean I fully agree with them” disclaimer.
That disclaimer is the tell. She understands the principle of separating the art from the artist when it protects her enjoyment and her content. She simply refuses to extend the same logic to the two people she claimed to be defending. The moment the outrage stops being profitable or convenient, the moral absolutism evaporates.
This isn’t principled fandom. It’s selective purity theater. You don’t get to demand that BTS members live under a higher ethical standard than the one you’re willing to apply to yourself the second tickets and suite access are on the line. If attending a concert “doesn’t mean endorsement,” then it never did—for anyone.
The hypocrisy is real. But the deeper problem is how easily parts of the fandom still reward the loudest, most emotional performance of morality… until the same person quietly cashes in on the very group they just publicly dragged.
"Will you also be submitting to sn award intended to box asian musicIans into their own corner?"
this clown: According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly.Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course
Seungmin of Stray Kids when asked about submitting their work to the Grammy Awards:
"We talk about the music we like or performance-related topics. Rather than always looking outward, we create music and write lyrics based on stories that come from within our hearts. In that sense, instead of trying to cater to external perspectives, we are continuing to capture the stories we want to tell"
"We also believe music shouldbt be segregated and separated by ethnicity, race, or religion"
How hard is that? Why take the "oh wym? we never wanted an award" route when its clearly not true?
Hyunjin of Stray Kids when asked about the Grammys Best Asian Pop Music Performance category:
"Throughout our activities as SKZ, we have never once set award results or records as our goal."
In that case the word you’re looking for is “tracing”
You can’t call it a pose reference and then get upset when people think you’re referring to referencing a pose
So why did it take this long for an Asian focused category to be added? Is Asia a recent software update to the world?
No you only added it now because BTS is achieving more then you expected and you want a cut of their profit cake without having to give them a proper award
Grammy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. responds to BTS’ decision to not submit their music for the 2027 awards, following the introduction of an Asian-focused category:
“I am saddened to hear that BTS has chosen not to participate in the Grammy Awards process this year, but as a music creator, I understand and respect their decision. […] I do want to clarify something that seems to be getting lost in the conversation. The Asian Pop category was created to celebrate the depth, diversity and extraordinary growth of pop artistry coming out of Asia. The spirit of this new category is to shine a dedicated spotlight on these important artists. More categories mean more artists’ work is recognized. It’s never to divide, but to expand who is recognized by our 15,000 Grammy voters. I also want to be very clear: submitting music in a genre category such as Asian Pop, or Jazz or Country does not exclude an artist from also submitting and being considered in the General Field categories, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Those categories remain open to any eligible recording, regardless of genre. Recognition in a genre category and recognition in the General Field are not mutually exclusive. An artist can absolutely pursue both.”

Do these companies and other groups not realize they’ll just come across as pathetic and desperate if they submit after this? It’s literally saying “ we’re A ok with being discriminated against for a facade of fame!”
HYBE reportedly clarified that BTS' decision to not submit for this year's Grammys was not part of a label-wide boycott.
The company said other HYBE artists will continue submitting their work individually, while BTS chose not to submit after careful deliberation, saying the decision was made to "protect the status and pride of the kpop industry as a whole."
This is so malicious holy shit just because they said they weren’t submitting for the award??? Did they not realize this basically confirms that they just made the category purely for BTS so they wouldn’t have to give them one of the actual major category awards???
and if i say that first song was the result of one of them coming across an old jimin "you got no jams" clip and deciding that would make a banger as a whole ass song.....djdbxkfnxmxm
Wild that this song was hyped so much bacn and people chose to shit on war of hormones instead 😭 like sorry but i think a song implying assault is more misogynistic then one saying women are perfect from every angle and don't belong to anyone but are still perfect???
This may be me thinking too much about it but it’s weird they picked commissions gg as their site name because you can’t really copyright it as a brand like vgen or drawmarket
If anything it makes it difficult as a term to look up past posts about it
⚠️ Be wary of https://t.co/Gohij7bWDW / @.commissions_gg ⚠️

I was doing some digging into a new commission website for artists and encountered some things that are not adding up / extremely suspicious, seeing how Al/tech bros have taken advantage of the community I have little tolerance for this type of stuff. I tried a dialogue to try to clear things up that the co-founder abruptly abandoned mid-way.

@led_lus@clddayss If they did wouldn’t they name the company to increase their chances of getting more pledges by highlighting the quality of the plushes? And the plushes themselves don’t look high quality in the least
You are justifying their actions purely based on assumptions.
@led_lus@clddayss I assume you’ve never heard of a concept called “trust me bro”.
Do you seriously think that it costs them $20 to produce a single one of those 3 inch plushie?
