I don’t sympathy for parents who make no effort for their kids’ education. My grandparents grew up as sharecroppers and their parents still had them reading and doing homework by candlelight.
@SandyofCthulhu@St_Rev Aztec foreign policy summarized: "You will give us your young boys to eat. Oh, what are you gonna do, fight back? With what warriors? We ate them when they were boys! Hahaha!"
Not mentioned in Nikole Hannah-Jones’ bombshell piece: Current @doechancellor Kamar Samuels served as Brooklyn’s District 13 superintendent in 2019 to 2022, overseeing the middle school that the writer’s daughter complained had killed her hopes of getting into a specialized high school. Samuels also oversaw struggling PS. 307, where Hannah-Jones now regrets sending her daughter. Then-PS 307 principal, Stephanie Carroll, is now the DOE’s Director of Literacy, and the school still shows abysmal reading and math scores well below the city average.

What seems to have happened is that the school responded to NHJ’s pressure about any school shortcomings by giving her daughter A’s so NHJ leave them alone.
And it worked!
As noted by @HarryTadudor, Nikole Hannah-Jones' husband, Faraji Hannah-Jones, lists nine months at PS307 as a "web content specialist" in 2015-16 among his experience.
Their daughter started pre-K at the school in 2014.
Whether he collected payment for work in the school, his wife did not disclose it in her @nytimes article:

Extremely rare Ground Zero Trump that just popped up on Reddit. Comes from a random dump of NIST and associated agency photos and doesn't appear in any reverse image searches.
