Police are appealing for help to trace a person of interest wanted in connection with a rape investigation in Phuthaditjhaba, Free State.
The case relates to an alleged incident in May 2026, when a woman claims she was assaulted and raped by her boyfriend after they returned home from a tavern.
The rape reportedly took place in the presence of the complainant’s daughter.
The suspect has since disappeared, and the Family, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit is urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Detective Constable L.R. Moeti on 076 966 9139, call Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or submit information anonymously via the MySAPS App.

She was reported missing the same day at Meyerton Police Station. Despite extensive efforts, her whereabouts remain unknown.
