My most embarrassing mistakes as a programmer:
* I didn't ask for help
* I was afraid of what others would think
* I didn't follow through on a promise
* I didn't step up and take responsibility
* I avoided conflict
My biggest mistakes had nothing to do with programming.
@jeffpatton ... but nobody wanted to keep their forks for too long due extra maintenance need. So it required negotiation and others skills to get your needed changes to upstream.
@jeffpatton Thanks for sharing this Jeff! I've been looking after scaling topic you mentioned earlier and this writing captures many aspects well! OSS model reminds me early Maemo/Meego times when teams had option to fork other teams work in case they had to temporarily move "faster"...
@jeffpatton@jboogie "There is allways too much to"... learn. I found your handbook super handy after spring workshop at Stockholm. It has helped to dive deeper from holistic picture you painted live. Energy and inspiration was probably best outcome for me.
@SamiHonkonen, mitä ajatuksia Keskustan puheenjohtajaehdokkaiden vastaukset A-studiossa esittämääsi kysymykseen "miten oppia virheistä" herätti? Mitä itse kaivaisit omasta toolboxista?

@jwsproservices @henrikkniberg Got mine on May at Crisp office. Fortunately there hasn't been need to share any yet, but I'm sure the time will come for pills at some point. Great product :D
Well put into words @VilleTormala what we talked yesterday after #producttank#jyväskylä.
Thanks @jeffpatton
for a great presentation again. I am your fan, especially after I met you in Stockholm CSPO course.

#ProductTank#jyväskylä celebrating #worldproductday. Kimmo Kinnunen starting story how they transform from traditional service provider to SaaS provider.
Good points about roles in sw dev. Roles can build silos and bottlenecks. And easily lead to hierarchical thinking. Start with goals instead. And agree actions to solve problems as team or community. Teams should have enough diversity to deal with variety.
