I retired from being an IT project manager in October 2019 so now I can focus on writing. I only wrote my 1st historical novel in my 60s so I am a late starter.
Well done to William Orem for winning the Book of the Year in the Rubery Book Award 2020 for his book of poems, but I am still very proud that my historical novel, Song of the Nightingale, was a contender by winning the Fiction Category. https://t.co/OKGjK22S9c #ruberybookaward

@JW99337779 I worked full time and was always too exhausted to write in the evening and I'm not the sort of person who can write in small 10 minute breaks. I used my weekends. Wrote everything i had been thinking about during the week. There is no right way. Don't stress. Do what suits YOU.
@mrjamesmayhew Anyone remember Enid Blyton's 'Bimbo and Topsy'? Bimbo was a siamese cat and Topsy a fox terrier. I am in my 60s and still remember those books with joy.
