In Nov 2015, someone shot at the Baitul Aman mosque Meriden, NY. Four bullets were embedded in the prayer hall walls. That same week members held an open house and prayer service. That is a model of grace. Acts like this to counter hate deserve much more attention.
In Dec 2015, members of the Islamic Center in Palm Beach, FL, arrived to find that someone had broken in smashed half the windows among other things. With boarded-up windows, members held an open house and said they didn’t blame nonMuslims for their fear. Picture of grace.
In Dec 2015, someone broke into the Baitus Salaam mosque in Hawthorn, California. They spray painted “Jesus” and crosses around the mosque and left a toy grenade. Members made a point of opening the mosque doors even wider, inviting any and all to join them. Picture of grace.
