Happy Wattle Day!
Wattle Day is a day of celebration in Australia on the first day of September each year, which is the start of spring. This is the time when many Acacia species (commonly called wattles in Australia) are in flower.
While at a restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia, the house band came over and asked where we were from. When we told them Canada, they proceeded to belt out The Hockey Songโฆ ๐จ๐ฆ๐
@aerosqxx@bwanless743@rcohen Yeah we did something like this 20+ years ago with little plastic toys from the dollar store. Wrapped them in coloured paper, put them in a plastic pail. Kid does their thing, they get the lucky dip prize. Worked great.
