Dolly Parton on her Imagination Library program that Republicans defunded:
"[My daddy] was the smartest man I have ever known, but I knew [...] his inability to read probably kept him from seeing all of his dreams come true. Inspiring kids to love to read became my mission."
I am not making this up: Secretary Rubio actually sat before Congress today and said “the war is over.”
It’s a bizarre lie to tell when Americans know there’s obviously a war underway - not just from seeing it on screens, but from paying its costs every day at home.
Leaders with this little respect for the American people have no business in office.
Voter fraud is so rare that a person is more likely to get struck by lightning than to cast a fraudulent ballot.
So why does Trump keep bringing it up?
To use it as a pretext to sabotage the midterms.
Holy shit, Rep. Jeffries just UNLOADED on Republicans for giving billionaires huge tax breaks at the expense of healthcare for seniors and kids, and a $70 billion slush fund to deadly ICE thugs.
Republicans only care about trump.
Dems care about Americans.
November is coming.
I'm a huge fan of Dolly Parton. We're the same age and height, but she can sing better.
Shame on Missouri Republicans for slashing funding to Dolly's Imagination Library, which provides free books to over 170,000 children every month.
They must reverse these cuts immediately.
DEAN: You're under oath. When will you comply with the law and release all the Epstein files?
BLANCHE: We have complied with the law
DEAN: There are 3 million more documents. And you know what you said to me? 'They include another guy named Epstein.' Nobody is buying it
*the time of the gentlelady has expired*
DEAN: I beg your pardon? How do I get cut off 2 minutes into this? What is true is that the president has lied about being on Epstein's plane, and the unredacted files prove that. There's a lot in here. It's all covered up.
Bernie Sanders fires back at Jeff Bezos on taxes and billionaire threats:
“What they are saying is: you raise my taxes in California… I’m leaving the state. And I’m gonna shut down my company and you’re gonna be unemployed. That’s the debate. That’s not a debate. That is my power over you. That is extortion. That is blackmail. Heads I win, tails you lose. You can’t beat me.”
Families living next to data centers are facing nonstop noise, pollution, and higher utility bills.
Over the last five years, electricity costs are up as much as 267% for families near these data centers.
Enough is enough.
In the dramatic circumstances of war, information must guard against the risk of turning into propaganda. It is every journalist's duty to verify the news, so as not to become a megaphone for power. They must show the suffering that war always brings to populations, which entails showing the face of war and recounting it through the eyes of victims.
JUST IN: Afroman drops a banger before the lawsuit against him goes to court Monday in Adams County, Ohio.
Afroman just released “Batteram Hymns of the Police Whistle Blower” a day before the lawsuit heads to court.
Adams County sheriffs are suing Joseph Foreman for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress for featuring them in his music videos from the night they raided and vandalized his house and allegedly stole $400.
In the new song and video, he calls the deputies out by name, packed with videos photos from the raid and some AI to make it comical.
Pretty ballsy.
Expect it to be busy during Spring Break! Here are some tips to help make your visit easier and more enjoyable.
1) Midday is the busiest time to enter the park and visit Grand Canyon Village, so arriving early is the best strategy. (before 9:30 am) or later in the afternoon (after 4 pm) to avoid the biggest crowds.
The South Entrance Station, near the town of Tusayan, Arizona, receives the most traffic, and experiences long lines and up to two hour wait times between 9:30 am and 4 pm.
2) Also, parking fills quickly around the Visitor Center, between 10 am and 3 pm. Park once, then ride the free shuttle buses around the village and out to the scenic overlooks along the canyon rim.

3) If your time is limited, arrive early and park at the Visitor Center. Trip planning and hiking information is available through permanent exhibits and sidewalk signs outside of the Visitor Center building.
Then take the short walk to Mather Point. There is easy access with a huge panoramic view —the perfect introduction to the size of the canyon.
.
Additional Activities Include:
.
Walking the Canyon Rim Trail:
The Rim Trail is mostly flat and paved, making it one of the easiest and most scenic walks in the park. If you simply walk 10–15 minutes away from major overlooks, the crowds thin out quickly. From Mather Point, walk 0.7 miles (1 km) to Yavapai Point. 15–20 minutes. —Visit the geology museum, then walk or take the Kaibab Rim (Orange) shuttle back to the Visitor Center.

.
Exploring the Village Historic District:
It has restaurants, historic hotels, gift shops, galleries, and views of Grand Canyon. Travel to the village by taking the Village Route (BLUE) shuttle route. 📌 https://t.co/oL50UDAHem (2222)
.
Tour Scenic Viewpoints Along Hermit Road
The shuttle on Hermits Rest Route (RED) follows Hermit Road for 7 miles (11 km) and has nine views of the canyon and the Colorado River. This route is best experienced in the morning and can be very busy by mid-day. Take the BLUE shuttle route from the Visitor Center, then transfer to the RED shuttle route. Personal vehicles are not permitted on Hermit Road from March 1 to November 30. 📌 https://t.co/zzcN4rJ5Lg (4047)
.
3) DYK There Is Another Park Entrance at Desert View?
Travelers arriving from the east (e.g. from Colorado, Page, AZ or Monument Valley) or on Interstate 40 from New Mexico, can turn onto US 89, drive to Cameron, AZ, —then turn west on State Route 64, —to enter the park through the Desert View (East) Entrance.
This entrance tends to be less busy. Entering from Desert View can save you time waiting in the South Entrance Station's line and make for a more relaxed experience.
Here you can enjoy expansive views of the Colorado River and visitor services, then travel the scenic 23 mile (37 km) drive towards the village —with marvelous panoramic views of Grand Canyon. There is parking at every viewpoint, and several picnic areas along the way. 📌 Directions to Desert View https://t.co/InkxG5b6WO (8138)

HIKERS - DID YOU KNOW that a key section of the River Trail is currently closed, which affects some popular hiking routes.
🚫 Closed: River Trail between the River Resthouse on the Bright Angel Trail and the South Kaibab Trail junction, including the Silver Bridge. The closure is expected to remain in place until July 1, 2026.
Because of this closure, hikers cannot complete a Rim-to-River-to-Rim loop using the South Kaibab and Bright Angel Trail. Additionally, the National Park Service strongly advises against attempting to hike from the rim to the Colorado River and back in a single day due to the extreme distance, significant elevation change, and heat hikers may encounter.
✅ Still Open:
• Bright Angel Trail to the river and River Resthouse
• South Kaibab Trail to Black Bridge
• Tonto Trail between The Tipoff and Havasupai Gardens
Why is the trail closed?
Rockfalls along the River Trail in August caused a 50-foot section of the trail to collapse, requiring additional safety assessments and reconstruction work before it can safely reopen.
Keep up to date with latest trail information by visiting the park's Key Hiking Messages webpage here:

They shot Renee Good in the face.
They kidnapped Liam Ramos.
They just executed a man on the street.
Unmask them. Prosecute them. No more secret police.
Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone who won’t forget that trump removed MLK Jr. Day and Juneteenth from National Park free-entry days, then added his own birthday.
The disrespect is deliberate.
