I made a version of the map on the right that differenciates how each county voted in 2020 in relation to the slave population density from 1860. One hundred and sixty years later we can still see how slavery has affected our political landscape.
reupping this old map and pointing out two key differences that make eastern Tennessee somewhat regionally unique; itβs Appalachian but without coal mines, and Southern without slavery. This economically and culturally distinguished it from much of its surroundings
@ECaliberSeven To be fair, Black voters actually had the lowest share of people who said No. A bunch of them instead said "Not Sure" which is kinda crazy itself
@MaxMaaxMaaax You def have like the attractiveness and platform for it unlike most of us, to be able to profit off of it at least. But there's also the aspect people don't talk about where probably almost like a full time digital marketing job. Having to keep fishing people in day after day
