For the second time in a year and a half, I've been just that little bit too late in checking on a friend and found their obituaries instead. Liver and pancreatic cancer, not COVID, at 39 and 40 respectively. The last time Dana and I spoke by phone was the first time in 15 years,

@tatertotsconor That's what I always do. One pizza goes in the freezer in Ziplocs, and the other gets eaten as leftovers for a couple of days. The medium pizzas in the little bundle deals from PJs and Pizza Hut are also a good deal for that, and work out to be cheaper than frozen store pizza.

It was a solid middle class job then and now it's barely subsistence wages, and the lady in the "whimsy" picture likely paid out of pocket to decorate her classroom. @meghanttucker Therapists can be like urgent care for the most immediately bleeding wound without needing to know your entire history. Having one person who *has* to listen to you scream or cry or laugh like a loon and isn't allowed to judge you for it sounds like something you might need.

@Lu531Lu @AdeleScalia @johnwcbragg In my school district, they did, or sports coats and slacks for the men, nice blouses and business skirts for the women. Even the few that wore jeans, they paired them with collared, button-up shirts. Granted, I graduated from undergrad in 2003, but my teachers dressed well.
