A roundabout without signals works in high-trust societies where people naturally yield and take turns.
In a low-trust society, it turns into a battle of horns, aggression, and “me first” chaos.

@memorynguwi@ipcconsultants Failing to read the winds of change or inappropriate response to the winds of change in a VUCA environment - so both poor leadership/management and environment contribute
@andrea_hoxbucks The semantics falls off the rail with titles like Finace Manager, Chief Finance Officer who are really accounting professionals and then finance professionals get titles like Investment Manager, Chief Investment Officer etc.
@ChadMhako On point. This part is most vital - "Product-market fit exists at the intersection of value created vs value demanded + willingness to pay".
@memorynguwi CEO (policy maker/programmer)>>Snr Mgr (programmer/implementer)>>Jnr Mgr (implenter/routine)>>Workers (routine). More of a continuum. That's how I look at it.
@TendaiDara I should however admit that once a business has become very large and established indomitable market dominance such that the risk of new entrance is very low, financial mgt and control become key for investors hence CAs become prefered for CEO role .
@TendaiDara I struggle with this debate as I don't believe being a great CEO is dependant on one's functional professional line but the ability to balance all functions of the business (value chain) and steer the organiasation towards its vision.
@TendaiDara A CA, Engnr, Mktr etc who continues to think and act unifunctionally after elevating to CEO position is bound to fail. They must evolve to become a balanced multifunnctional leader. Having said that, at that level, more important than tech skills are soft skills.
