I get it, your claim was they get to have majority of seats without necessarily having majority of votes. You have an example of one MP winning a seat with only 2000 votes while another does with 10000 votes. I found that claim interesting and I went and crunched the numbers and realised that our system actually has a protection for such.
It wasn’t about the president but refuting your claim that ZANU - PF holds majority seats without majority votes. These are the numbers before the 2/3 majority. So your proportional representation argument then falls on its face. Furthermore the Zimbabwean electoral system has a fix for that; the 20% variance in constituency population.
@ny_emman Hence the importance of these local authorities collaborating. Have a joint development board that ensures objectives align. A good template is the DC, Maryland, Virginia corridor. Three separate states that collaborate on dev.
That particular highway is under construction. It’s being dualised and set to complete in 2027. This 30km stretch is the most treacherous. Zambian trucks hauling copper have significantly contributed to its destruction. They still prefer this route to the Kazungula one because the internal Zambian roads from the Copperbelt that lead to Kazungula are even worse.
@baba_nyenyedzi@emmanuelmapamba I mean gold has already rallied and settled on a new base 60-70% higher. Production costs haven’t kept pace, staying largely constant for many, so it’s a huge win for gold producers with record margins.
@IanECox Wonder why the Americans built the biggest embassy in Africa in Harare, spending $300 million +. Only to shut down USAID and now immigration services, is it now a white elephant or a command center ?
Yes at first it was way higher and that’s because this particular TV was not the original. I didn’t change the mounting bracket and its mount points are way lower which made the TV go way higher. I don’t like the TV so it’s gonna get replaced too so the new one will be a bit lower.
