Several days ago, I received a threatening letter informing me that I am "moving up on 'the List," and that I am "fucked."

The letter calls me a "kapo," indicating its authorship by a Zionist fanatic, possibly affiliated with an outfit like JDL Brotherhood 613, or from Betar dead-enders who advocate violence against perceived enemies of Israel.

I opened this letter as Israel-backed Trump admin allies like Laura Loomer portrayed me as a national security threat and demanded my persecution for reporting from Iran, and as the Trump admin harassed me by illegally seizing my phones.

I am not the only person to have received these letters. Howard Heath, a state representative in New Hampshire who is campaigning for Congress on a pledge to cut off military aid to Israel, also reported receiving a letter from the same "Yoor Dedmeet."

The return address applied to the letter is the field office of Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian member of Congress. To me, this indicates that she and her staff could also be targets of whichever malicious individual or group sent the letter.

I have filed a report with local police and informed the US Postal Service Inspector of this threatening letter.

iMessage (Apple): E2EE entre dispositivos Apple, mas não quando comunica com Android (SMS normal) e há questões sobre backups no iCloud.
Threema: suíça, paga, sem necessidade de número de telefone para criar conta.
Matrix / Element: protocolo aberto e federado (não é uma única empresa), permite self-hosting; frequentemente recomendado por quem quer sair do controlo de grandes plataformas.
Session: baseada no protocolo Signal, mas sem exigir número de telefone, com routing descentralizado.
Wire: para empresas/profissionais, E2EE por defeito.
Nota importante para o contexto do Chat Control: o facto de uma app ser E2EE não significa automaticamente que está isenta de qualquer forma de scanning. O "client-side scanning" (analisar o conteúdo no próprio telemóvel, antes de cifrar e enviar) é uma técnica que, tecnicamente, contorna a proteção da E2EE sem quebrar a encriptação em trânsito: é precisamente por isso que o debate sobre o Chat Control 2.0 inclui discussão sobre se aplicações como o WhatsApp ou o Signal poderiam ser obrigadas a implementar esse tipo de análise, mesmo mantendo a encriptação ponta a ponta.

The NATO-backed coup in Ukraine was on February 22, 2014. In the article below, the New York Times confirms that two days later, on February 24, the new Ukrainian intelligence chief of the government that the US had handpicked, called the CIA and MI6 to establish a partnership against Russia. Only a few days earlier, Russia had been the main security partner of Ukraine - after the coup, it would become NATO's frontline state against Russia.

The CIA operation against Russia developed from 2014-2022:
- "12 newly-built, forward operating bases constructed along the Russian border. From each base, General Kondratiuk said, the Ukrainian officers ran networks of agents who gathered intelligence inside Russia. C.I.A. officers installed equipment at the bases to help gather intelligence and also identified some of the most skilled Ukrainian graduates of the Operation Goldfish program, working with them to approach potential Russian sources."

- "The listening post in the Ukrainian forest is part of a C.I.A.-supported network of spy bases constructed in the past eight years that includes 12 secret locations along the Russian border... The CIA/MI6 presence in Ukraine became a key motivation for the Russian invasion:

*** The war in Ukraine was clearly provoked (and even started) by NATO. The amount of evidence makes this undeniable. However, the political-media establishment defends the "unprovoked invasion" narrative by dismissing and criminalising all explanations of NATO's involvement as efforts to "legitimise" the Russian invasion. Why is NATO's contribution to starting this war important? If we recognise NATO's contribution and the legitimate Russian security concerns, then it opens up an opportunity for compromise and peace. By clinging to the "unprovoked invasion" narrative, weapons are the path to peace, and NATO gets to continue its war against Russia to the last Ukrainian.
