Under the Ruto government, education, like healthcare, is in deep crisis. Transitions between education levels are chaotic, leaving learners anxious and families uncertain.
Kenya’s education crisis is not accidental. It is the predictable outcome of a government that has lost fiscal discipline, surrendered common sense, and chosen debt servicing, corruption, and political extravagance over investment in human capital.
@UGMParty Presidential Flagbearer David Maraga offers a better plan, anchored firmly in the right to education as guaranteed by the Katiba.
Technology will be a tool for inclusion, not inequality. Digital learning cannot replace teachers, classrooms, or basic resources. It will only succeed where there is infrastructure, teacher training, local relevance, and safeguards for equity.
His government will prioritize the “last mile” of technology, ensuring that a child in Mandera has the same opportunities as a child in Nairobi. #maraga27 #ukombozi2027
Why is the government still abducting its citizens?
We must uphold the Constitution. Every Kenyan's right to peacefully assemble and protest must be respected.
This government has failed in that duty. #Maraga27#Ukombozi2027@dkmaraga@UGMParty
"Policing is a public duty, not a license for violence. When officers hide their identities while carrying out state operations they do not protect the public," ~Former Chief Justice David Maraga today at the Mathare Social Justice Centre, Nairobi, standing in solidarity with the families of missing persons and calling for government accountability.

unlawful policing and protection of onstitutional Rights
Kenya is watching a dangerous pattern. Across the country, security forces have conducted operations in which officers conceal their identities, deploy excessive force, and act in ways that make accountability impossible.
Policing is a public duty, not a license for violence. When officers hide their identities while carrying out state operations, they do not protect the public.
They undermine the constitutional order they are sworn to uphold. This is no longer a matter of isolated mistakes. On June 25, we assembled to hold a peaceful procession in Nairobi to commemorate the lives lost during Genz protests the past two years.
We were violently dispersed and some of our fellow citizens arrested at Parliament later, some were released with accounts of torture in police hands. One Davis Lichuma is still missing.
We demand for his production immediately.
Why are citizens being violently dispersed when they have followed the legally required notification procedures for peaceful assembly? The constitutional right to peaceful assembly is not a privilege extended selectively by those in power. Kenyans cannot be treated differently depending on who they are or what they are protesting against. Are different instructions being issued to different units? Are there killer squads within the government being deployed outside the law to intimidate citizens?
We demand a public explanation from President William Ruto.
As a bare minimum we demand the following from Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja:
All officers deployed in public operations must be clearly identified at all times as required.
Clear command responsibility must be established and publicly communicated for all public order operations.
The constitutional right to peaceful assembly must be fully and unconditionally respected.
Account for all the missing persons following last week's procession, and especially the whereabouts of Lichuma.
We cannot normalize masked violence or the use of force against citizens exercising their rights. Our country must be governed by law, not fear. @dkmaraga@UGMParty

I commend our @UGMParty youth who yesterday boldy went to Parliament & presented a Public Petition for the urgent enactment of a supplemental re-allocation, from the over a trillion earmarked for budgeted corruption, to temporarily address the runaway youth unemployment crisis.
From Day 1 in office, my #Ukatiba government will focus on job creation for our industrious Kenyans, ending state capture, recovering stolen public funds, lowering the high cost of living and addressing the crippling public debt.
I call on all Kenyans to join this #Ukombozi campaign to reclaim our country.
2027 will not just be an election—it will be a contest between the government and its institutions versus the will of the people. It will be the Ukombozi Election.
"We must liberate ourselves from the chains Ruto has shackled us. Take it from me. If Ruto is re-elected, it will be tragic," Maraga. #Ukombozi2027 #maraga2027 #ukatibacaravan

This is why we need David Maraga. Now!🇰🇪
I am not asking you to support a career politician. I am asking you to support a man who has spent his life defending the truth.
David Maraga made history as the first Chief Justice in Kenya—and in Africa—to cancel a president's election. When the Supreme Court annulled the 2017 presidential election, it was a historic first for the continent. Maraga slept just two hours a night during those 14 days.
Was he afraid? Concerned, yes.
But afraid? No. God has removed fear from his heart. he only fear when I'm doing something wrong.
That is the kind of leader we need. A leader who fears nothing but wrongdoing.
Maraga has declared his 2027 presidential bid under a simple, powerful slogan: "Reset. Restore. Rebuild."

Congratulations Senator @OkiyaOmtatah for this victory. I and @UGMParty laud you for your consistency in defending our Constitution.
This is a consequential ruling confirming that our Courts will audit all aspects of governance, including our finances and the question of national interest.
I share your views that there must be a transparent and public audit of our national debt to determine the extent to which it is odious.
Our shared vision as constitutionalists, is that all the architects and duty bearers of Kenya’s reckless debt binging since 2013, be they foreign or domestic, will not evade accountability.
It is worth recalling that in the FY 2026/2027 budget of KSh 4.82 trillion, approximately 48% (KSh 2.31 trillion) of the total expenditure framework is designated for public debt servicing. Essentially, nearly half of the budget is directly going to creditors, tightening the fiscal space available for development.
This is unsustainable.
The overriding national imperative, as we head to the 2027 general election, is to join hands and form an #Ukatiba government to deliver true national renewal.
2027 is an #Ukombozi moment from the chockhold of odious debt. Let us all unite and redeem our nation from predatory extractive forces.
