Every whistle blown on a playing field marks the beginning of discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.
This insight shaped a practical session on the essence of sports and drills within the GAME Zones, where coaches and Playmakers explored how structured sports activities can be intentionally designed to promote peace, life skills, and psychosocial well-being among children and youth.
The session emphasized that drills are carefully guided routines that teach focus, patience, respect for rules, and cooperation, values that young people carry beyond the field into their daily lives.
Participants reflected on how consistent, well-planned sports sessions help create safe and predictable environments where children from different social and ethnic backgrounds can interact freely, build trust, and learn to resolve differences without conflict.
By guiding coaches to understand the purpose behind every game, every warm-up, and every team activity, the training reinforced that the GAME Zone is a structured space for growth where sport becomes a language of inclusion, discipline, and hope.

"Strong collaboration among like-minded partners is essential to maximize synergies, avoid duplication, and ensure policy alignment. This reflects a growing recognition of the need for coordinated efforts, partnerships, prevention-focused strategies, and alignment with Kenya’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda. It’s crucial to reflect on lessons from current initiatives and develop innovative, sustainable financing models to scale up this important work."
