@TZBirder@AfricanRaptor@PunkBiologist A6 didn’t breed in 2020 unfortunately. She maintains a really stable territory and fingers crossed that in 2021 she can raise a chick. Most of the pairs around her raised chicks successfully in 2020.
Roelof Schutte from Asilia Africa was recently treated to an incredible Martial Eagle sighting in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy. He watched this subadult kill a young Thomson's Gazelle. Thank you Roelof for sharing these stunning photos with us. #martialeagle#asiliafrica
Lemein Par hard at work ground-truthing Martial Eagle kills. At this kill site he found the remains of a hare that the Olive pair male Martial Eagle recently dispatched. @mararaptorproject @martialeagle @kenyabirdofpreytrust @peregrinefund@maasaimara
The clean-up crew is hard at work at the moment. Thousands of Wildebeest are streaming across the border into the Mara each day and following them are hundreds of vultures. The Mara-Serengeti is one of the last vulture strongholds in Africa. Photo credit: Lemein Par. #vultures
Happening right now in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy! Video courtesy of Roelof Schutte from Asilia. That is a decent sized Grant Gazelle and a beautiful presumably female juvenile Martial Eagle. #mararaptorproject#naboisho#asilia#martialeagle
