Choose the local currency. Baht, dong, ringgit, whatever country you’re in. “With conversion” / “charge in USD” is dynamic currency conversion. The machine’s rate is usually 5–12% worse than Visa or Mastercard.

Same button at restaurants and hotels. Local currency. Let your card do the math.

That “helpful” dollar total is the fee.
