DC police arrested 13 people today of the thousands who put the Capitol on lockdown.
A few weeks ago, 22 of us were arrested here on my people’s homelands standing in front of machines destroying our homelands for an oil pipeline.
If Muslims stormed into the U.S Capitol - they would be dead - but Muslims like myself would be tweeting our outrage & trying SO HARD to prove Islam is a peaceful religion.
My white colleagues don’t need to prove anything after today’s violence.
That’s why we call it privilege.
