To be clear, this means that fully formed babies who could survive easily outside the womb can now have their skulls crushed legally in New York. I would call this barbaric but that would be an insult to barbarians.
@omni42@JoeyIske@cnnbrk I’m trying to see the story through many different eyes. Thanks for the conversation. I try to save my big talking points to actual violence. Words are just words. That’s why this story annoys me.
@jbiie@cnnbrk Yes! Fellow independent. I’m more of a libertarian than anything. This bugs me because actual murder gets less talked about. To me, this story says more about the folks reporting it than the actual event. Just annoying.
@jbiie@cnnbrk I’d like to think that I wouldn’t respond with violence. But I’ve never been in that situation. I’m just surprised this didn’t end in violence because of all the crap that was flung around.
@jbiie@cnnbrk Totally. The hat has become a symbol of hate. Can’t deny that. I think we as a people are stronger than to let a piece of clothing dictate how we feel about someone though.
@omni42@JoeyIske@cnnbrk We’re talking about “what-ifs”. No violence actually occurred. “What if” I just go and hurt someone right now. It didn’t actually happen. Minority Report comes to mind lol.
@omni42@JoeyIske@cnnbrk I see your point. Just seems like we as a country get riled up more about this than an actual violent act like a shooting, etc. No life was loss here.
