Had an awesome day at the @UConnSoftball camp today! It was a great opportunity to compete, challenge myself, and get to know the UConn softball program!!
I’m grateful for everything I learned throughout the day and for the chance to work with the coaches, players and some alumni!!
Thank you UConn for having me and for such a great camp! #GoHuskies

Bella @marcano_izzy in from Rhode Island, another promising player with the Unity program out of New Jersey.
Coming off her best summer hitting season and working into the fall to put herself in a great position as a recruit next September.
A hard worker, extremely dedicated, and it will be exciting to see where that takes her.
Learning the push-pull of the body to create deceleration and ultimately the throw and whip of the barrel.
Working the toe-to-heel transition to clear the front hip, allowing the back hip to work through and create speed through the barrel.
Another out-of-state athlete making the long drive down to work with me.
Bella is coming off her best summer at the plate, and now we’re beginning to transition into controlling the lower part of the zone.
She’s learning to allow her body to naturally carry her torso back and behind the ball, creating the up through the body instead of forcing it with the hands.
The more she owns both sides of the zone, the more adjustable and complete of a hitter she will become.
Keep working, Bella. Big progress, young lady.
Just another great young athlete who makes the trip from Rhode Island to train. From her very first lesson, Bella completely bought in.
You could see it immediately locked in, paying attention to every swing, every rep, and every adjustment we made together.
I've actually worked with her less than many of my full-time athletes, yet the transformation has been incredible. Why? Because she goes home, sticks to the plan, and never wavers. She isn't chasing the next trendy drill or looking for shortcuts. She trusts the process, commits to the movement I put in front of her, and puts in the work.
The results are speaking for themselves. This is the type of athlete every coach wants in their program. She works, she listens, she applies, and she keeps getting better. When the time comes, she's going to be a tremendous addition to a college program.
Congratulations, Bella. Keep grinding the best is still ahead. See you in a couple of weeks.
