In light of the data on hyperemic & non-hyperemic indices for lesion evaluation, we did FFR, CFR & IMR
Angio alone it appeared like long proximal disease..my prediction was significant but w all modalities it was concordant and not significant..perhaps time to eliminate guess work
🔬💙 @BernardBruyne and @ColletCarlos breaking down the fascinating coronary autoregulation at The Physiology Course Middle East in #Dubai! 💡🫀
👨⚕️✨ They explain using visualizations how our heart regulates blood flow to the heart to ensure its optimal function. Prepare to have your mind blown! 🤯

Physiologic measurement in #PCI (#FFR, #iFR, etc.) is used mainly for pre-procedural assessment of the stenosis. But using pressures to monitor procedural success is something that Andreas Gruentzig discussed [..checks notes..] 40 years ago!! From my 1982 interview. #AngioHistory
1/11 Adding to last week’s list of imaging highlights, let’s review the results of the #LightLab Clinical Initiative with #MLDMAX workflow that shed light 💡 on benefits to PCI in our Week 2 #OCTimaging tweetorial.
