Almost 38 on the label, yet still casually posting numbers that make younger strikers look like they’re doing part-time shifts in comparison. A 0.85 goals-per-game ratio isn’t a stat, it’s a quiet refusal to acknowledge the concept of decline.

It’s the kind of situation where defenders probably start checking the team sheet and sighing before kickoff, because somehow the assignment remains the same: try to contain a man who appears to have negotiated a separate contract with time itself.

When there's a will, there's a way. Lewandowski showed everyone once again in the last game what being a true striker means. His contribution was absolutely pivotal to Barça coming out victorious in the previous two away games.

In particular against Osasuna, Barça were struggling for most of the game and truthfully, Lewy was barely even involved. But when you have a player like him, it doesn't matter if he's been kept quiet for the majority of the match. All he needed was one instance to shake off the defender and smash a thunderous header into the back of the net.

A true striker always finds a way to break the deadlock. Even if his body no longer moves like it used to, that instinct and nose for goal he was born with will always live within him.
