i know Black Mirror is cringe now but i do think the first season ep where everyone is a slave on exercise bikes or turned into reality tv tiktok porn stars living in screen rooms is one of the most brutally accurate depictions of our near future dystopia
So what even changes now? The new name comes with a commitment to update how doctors are trained, how the condition is classified in health systems and how treatment is approached. It’s not just a rebrand, there’s a whole roadmap attached to it. The women being diagnosed from here on should, in theory, have a very different experience than the ones who came before, basically
And to every woman who spent years being dismissed, sent home, told it wasn’t that serious, you weren’t imagining it, and your body wasn’t being dramatic. The system just has the wrong map the entire time. It took 11 years and 22,000 people to finally draw it. You deserved better from the start and hopefully now, more women will actually get it🩷
PCOS is being renamed to PMOS. (Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome)
The change comes from experts that say the old name was misleading, stating that it inaccurately suggested ovarian cysts as a defining feature.
@adairemafunde@IntCyberDigest Do they not get that Shai-Halud is a reference to the Butlerian Jihad against technology in Dune.
It’s pretty clear the developer of this malware despises AI.
‼️🚨 UPDATE: The TanStack npm attack is now a full campaign.
'Mini' Shai-Hulud has hit:
- OpenSearch
- Mistral AI
- Guardrails AI
-UiPath
- Squawk packages across npm and PyPI
The malware specifically targets AI developer tooling. It hooks into Claude Code (.claude/settings.json) and VS Code (.vscode/tasks.json) to re-execute on every tool event, long after the infected package is gone. npm uninstall does not fix this.
