After two years of evenings next to a day job and two kids, Paperarchive is officially live today.
Honest numbers, what worked, and the one mistake I kept making for months:
Just learned the Claude API costs for building the iOS + Android apps for Paperarchive as of today:
Without the subscription → $3,553
Still cheap compared to full development costs… but a clear reminder of how much the subscription actually saves.
Taking into account that all three platforms can now be managed with one command, is insane. With the test suite in place, I added the release process including TestFlight builds to the CI as well. Existing timest
The best thing about agentic coding is the gained power of a solo founder to leverage the advantages of native mobile apps. Referencing the already existing web app, Claude went of to develop the nations iOS and Android apps for Paperarchive.
Leveraging the effort of a mono repository, where web, iOS, Android, and backend or all in one, I see already the effect from the native development to chance the web app as well.
The Claude Startups program is expanding to more founders.
Members can get a year of Claude Team, API credits, special offers on the tools a startup runs on, and office hours with Anthropic’s Applied AI team.
It's live on Product Hunt today, honest feedback very welcome:

One principle I won't bend: your documents aren't the product.
I make money from subscriptions, not data. No ads, no analytics on your content, no AI training. Files stored in Germany, AI models only in the EU. My own family paperwork lives in it too.
Building Paperarchive for my own pain means no fear of moving fast or changing things. Curious how that feels with lots of customers - but for now, fearless iteration is a real advantage.
Major milestone bringing my vision of an "invisible" platform to store your documents to life. Forward via mail or monitor a specific folder in Google Drive or Dropbox (now available as well); automatically managed, and find the right documents when needed from where you want.
Just asked Claude about my expenses, which triggered a search of my bank statements stored on Paperarchive, gathering all details via the now-available Paperarchive MCP server (read-only for now). Great times!
Shipped a small improvement for Paperarchive: If the document has been detected as an invoice, the payment status now shows up right in the overview as a badge.
