Iman Shumpert (who hasn’t played for the Knicks in 11 years and won an NBA title with a different team) partying in the streets in his own Knicks jersey.
Only in New York.
ADHD is having a to-do list so long it stops being a plan and becomes wall décor.
Like you write “pay bills,” “reply emails,” “clean room,” “buy groceries,” and instead of doing any of it, you just… admire the list like it’s motivation artwork.
You add new tasks while ignoring the old ones. You even reorganize it into categories- urgent, important, maybe, someday - then treat all of them like “not today.”
Some tasks are highlighted, starred, color-coded… and still not done.
You’ll open it just to feel productive, then close it like, “okay, that’s enough productivity for one day.”
At some point the to-do list is no longer a reminder. It’s a record of good intentions.
New York City, we have no excuse to be bored this summer. The map at https://t.co/Wt1RgEfgey is full of free and affordable stuff to do -- sports, music, arts, movies, video games and more -- in every borough.
The city is your backyard. Get out there and enjoy it.
nobody wants to admit that ADD/ADHD is a serious brain condition that can really mess up your whole life. People act like it’s not as bad as depression or whatever, but people with ADHD that takes over their whole life exist.
People who can’t focus at all.
People who get overwhelmed when just two people talk at the same time.
People who suddenly start crying because there’s too much noise/light/stuff going on.
People who can’t go 5 minutes without ADHD making life hard.
They are real and their struggles are real and valid. ADHD is a real brain condition just like depression or anxiety. It’s not “omg I’m so adhd and random lol”.
It’s a real condition that often needs serious medicine, talking to a therapist, and learning new coping skills.
Stop acting like ADHD isn’t a big deal and only treating sadness & depression like it matters. Thanks.
