I'm not claiming the FBI wrote the Daily Mail article about Candace Owens or that this is another COINTELPRO operation, but I am saying we have documented evidence of how institutions have used cooperative media to poison public perception of someone they wanted discredited.

In 1968, the FBI fed its narrative about Martin Luther King Jr. to friendly media. Five days after the St. Louis Globe-Democrat published an FBI-inspired editorial attacking him, King was assassinated.

Congress later found that the FBI had grossly abused its authority and failed to consider whether its campaign might encourage people to physically harm King.

You don't have to agree with Candace or believe everything she reports to recognize why this framing deserves scrutiny.
