@jondelarroz I was really enjoying the early Mandalorian seasons. Boba Fett lost me on ep 2 or 3? It just wasn't interesting. What really did it for me, though, was Obi-Wan. I was really looking forward to it, and just like with Luke, they turned Obi-Wan into a coward. I never did finish it.

Growing up on Brazil, I was walking home with my little brother when we were mugged and they stole his brand new shoes — he walked the rest of the way barefoot. I lost a close friend who was shot over his wrist watch. Some friends only wore nice shoes if they were driving to a party, otherwise they’d wear cheap shoes. It’s really sad to see that reality brought to my new home.

I agree with the others — get the mgs collection for switch. It’ll play on switch 2, it has the 3 best games in the series and are the best way to get started. The others (4, 5, portable ops and peace walker), are fun… but also not as good in that classical way that mgs1 started.

My favorite memory of this program is that I was attending LDSBC at the time it was announced. I was part of a particular program within the college, and the program was popular, so I ended up with my picture taken for an article published in the old Church News newspaper.

About a year later, my grandmother came to visit from Brazil, and she was telling me that my Church News picture was actually used at the church office headquarters in Sao Paulo, printed really big on the wall, as a poster child for the PEF. She was all proud of her grandson, with his picture on the wall for everyone to see.

The real irony is that I didn't actually qualify for PEF at the time! I never did tell her though.

@WindowsCentral I was fairly happy with windows 8.5 and 10…. but wow, its amazing how every update to windows 11 manages to make it worse: runs slower, arbitrary UI and design changes just for its own sake, copilot everywhere with no added benefit. It’s hard to understand what their goal is.

I think we dont mean the same kind of progression God means. For example, we’re not perfect now, but eventually we will be. So how does a perfect being progress? you’re either perfect or you’re not.

Modern revelation has the answer: The goal of God is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. God “progresses” when his children are exhalted. Only when we’re like him we’ll fully understand what that means.
