@Capozza_Franc Well... depending on which side of the fence you are, you gotta give it. He really tried hard... Henry tried, Cranmer tried, Luther tried... they all tried and are dead, but we still have the Mass.
When a US Congressman has to warn India about its own laws, something is seriously wrong.
Republican Congressman Riley Moore has called the proposed FCRA Amendment Bill 2026 a “clear attack against Christians.”
He points out the obvious:
The bill empowers a government-appointed “Designated Authority” to take over the management of foreign contributions and assets of any organisation whose FCRA registration is cancelled, surrendered, or simply not renewed.
Churches. Schools. Hospitals. Charities.
All built over decades with foreign funds.
Now one bureaucratic decision away from government control.
Moore is right to flag the danger.
Christian institutions have existed in this land since the time of St. Thomas.
They run some of the best schools, hospitals and social services in the country — especially in remote and under-served regions.
The government keeps repeating the same line: “This is only about transparency and accountability.”
Transparency is good. Accountability is necessary.
But when the same government has already cancelled or let expire tens of thousands of FCRA licences, and now wants the power to seize the very assets created by those funds, it stops looking like regulation and starts looking like capture.
A handful of honest voices in Indian media and civil society have been saying this for months.
Now a US lawmaker has said it aloud — and linked it to bilateral ties.
If protecting national interest requires taking over places of worship and social institutions of a minority community, then we have a deeper problem than foreign funding.
Sovereignty is not the same as arbitrary power.
And democracy does not mean the state can decide the fate of every institution it dislikes.
The fourth pillar is already compromised.
Now even the institutions that serve the poorest are being put under the shadow of the same opaque control.
Vatican insider @Capozza_Franc reports over 65% of cardinals do not know a single word of Latin.
He calls it the legacy of Pope Francis, "who gave the Church princes in purple who are ignorant, without art or part, unaware that Latin is the official language of the Church."
@NovusOrdoWatch German Cathedral 🤔. Not surprised after what that Augustinian friar did 400 hundred years ago... but I'd still expect Mæstro Mozart or Herr Hayden's Masses being played.
Can't they have this dance in a theatre somewhere if they want an introduction to a different culture?
In Fall of Eagles (1973), Tsar Nicholas II scans a list of political agitators.
“They’re all here: socialist revolutionaries, liberals, anarchists, social democrats.”
“Jew, Jew… are there any Russians?”
“One or two, Your Majesty.”
I go to churches that are closing in the Benelux and save what I can.
Chasubles, copes, procession crosses, banners, baldachins, altar bells, missals, cruets, crosses… things that would otherwise disappear… or be sold in thrift shops…
2 years ago I filmed part of what we rescued
It got over 20K views on TikTok
These aren’t just old objects
They’re pieces of a living tradition
If more of us did the same, a lot more would survive
Start saving culture, no one else will
This morning, Leo XIV met with the "Godmother of Punk", outspokenly pro-abortion and pro-LGBT Patti Lee Smith.
And he couldn't meet with the SSPX.
In 2022 she called the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade “terrible” and said it broke her heart.
Breaking: Spanish intelligence believes that the invasion of Moroccan immigrants into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta is a false flag operation orchestrated by the Moroccan government on the orders of King Mohammed VI. Not only are there many pardoned criminals and prisoners among the 12,000 Moroccan nationals who have just arrived at the enclave, but there are also reports of Moroccan army soldiers among them who were brought to the border by trucks and were guided by Moroccan Police👇
In 711 AD Muslims from Morocco conquered Spain & would rule over the country for 800 years until Christian Crusaders expelled them in 1492 - but here we are today with Spain voluntarily leaving their borders open.
That’s what happens when you don’t know your history.
