🎓 On May 16th I defended my PhD in Chemistry & Material Science at @Unipisa!
My work: depolymerizing plastic waste with deep eutectic solvents ♻️🧪
Thanks to my supervisors, collaborators & friends!
New challenges ahead 🚀

Thrilled to present my research on PET depolymerization with DESs at Polymers for Sustainable Future 2024 in Prague. Met brilliant scientists and had insightful discussions on sustainability and recycling. 🌱🔬

On 18th of April, I had the opportunity to speak at XX PhD-Chem Day held in Pisa and organised by CIRCC presenting how LBDESs exhibit good performance and high selectivity for monomer recovery, enabling us to achieve closed-loop recycling for plastic! ♻️

If you need an acidic and diamagnetic metal-based solvent, you may read this one: Zinc(II)-Based Lewis/Brønsted Acidic Deep Eutectic Solvents https://t.co/WvcxksuP3N #mdpimolecules via @Molecules_MDPI@marco_r97@chiarapelosi_12
Delighted to present our latest article on the advancements in my PhD research on plastic recycling with Deep Eutectic Solvents. Enjoy!

Another piece of our project about #polymer chemical #recycling! Again iron-based eutectic solvents, but powered by additives and microwaves! Enjoy! https://t.co/rA5vtH4pNw @RSC_Sus@RicercaUnipi@ChemUniPi
New name & logo for the group. There is a green solvent, bubbles that represent #CO2 and a generic chemical chain for #polymers. There is still room for improvements, I guess. Suggestions?

My first scientific paper was just lpublished on Chemical Engineering Journal!
Many thanks to Francesca Raffi, @e_lisarossi, Dr. Matteo Tiecco, Prof. Elisa Martinelli and Prof. @gciancaleoni1!
Enjoy it!

I am so excited! This preprint has been just accepted (in a modified version) by ChemEngJ! 18 months ago we serendipitously mixed FeCl3 and a sulphonic acid and we immediately understood it was a powerful solvent. But science takes time! @marco_r97
