🎉 The 11 Annual WWDC Pregame Quiz 🎉
Ever since WWDC 2015, I've done these silly little pub-style trivia questions over Apple lore, WWDC and more. It's back again, and I don't think anyone aces this year's edition 😁

#Hottake People are excited about the upcoming #WWDC25. Hopes are high, but the reality is that the last two WWDC events failed to deliver — Apple Vision Pro in 2023 and Apple Intelligence in 2024.
- Both products were heavily hyped, yet both fell short. Apple Intelligence is arguably the worst AI currently on the market.
- Apple Vision tells a different story, it's a great product, but Apple has failed to convince people of its real-world use cases. This has led to poor sales, and Apple has reportedly cut production due to weak demand. You can now even find units at steep discounts on eBay.
- Meanwhile, Apple is entangled in several major legal battles that could significantly impact how it operates and generates profit — from alternate payment options in the App Store to AirDrop restrictions in the EU.
Sure, we can all pretend to be excited about a new UI design, round icons, or how Android might copy Apple’s next move. But the truth is: Apple hasn’t launched a groundbreaking product in years. Innovation is stagnant, and the stock market reflects that — investor confidence in Apple is clearly shaken. #Apple #visionpro #ai #chatgpt
“With @Apple stock being down 20% year to date, #WWDC25 stakes could not be higher for Apple”, says @ScottWapnerCNBC. I wholeheartedly agree with @Kantrowitz that it’s all about developers for Apple during this event and I agree with him on timeline for an AI device being far out, much more than next 2-3 years. Great segment, great perspectives from all Alex Kantrowitz, Steve Kovach, and Scott Wapner.
Yes, Apple should acquire @perplexity_ai (or alike of that), I also think that they need to acquire a @cursor_ai like company now that @windsurf_ai is gone to @OpenAI. Their services margin is under attack (third party app stores and other regulatory and legal/litigation pressures), they must attract more devs to their platform, regardless what’s next big thing on device side.
My POV: I expect Apple to announce developer related productivity AI aided tools for their XCode IDE during WWDC.
A side note: I strongly believe that @Google has about 2 years or so to crush Apple (on smartphone hardware) as they have some of the best AI models, now that Samsung is distancing from Google and siding with @perplexity_ai by making them default on all Samsung devices (which use open source Android).
All in all, there are two big tech vendors @Apple and @Tesla which have a lot to lose and EVEN A LITTLE MISSTEP FROM THEM WILL CAUSE A HUGE DAMAGE TO THEIR STOCK AND BRAND REPUTATION.
