@TRobinsonNewEra@policylaila It's odd that you would thank Laila instead of the host of the television program in this clip that you've shared. The host was honest and gave insight into the reason for your popularity and the rise of your movement.
You're right, commenters. Watching this again, they did the best they could under the circumstances and they were able achieve public safety. I misread the two other people present as constables when I don't believe that they are, rather an unarmed security guard in the yellow vest and a helpful bystander in the shorts and the green vest. I saw the public wandering freely through the area and that prompted my original gut response. I do think it's a appropriate level of force on the part of the constables. I don't agree with use of tasers without having lethal force as a backup but that's the difference in the UK. They don't carry sidearms.
There's no shame in ceding ground to a knife wielding assailant, police training says anything within 30 yards with a knife can be fatal even with a sidearm. Tasers should only be effectively and safely used with the addition of lethal force measures to protect officer safety. Tasers often don't hit the assailant with two barbs cleanly, especially with thicker clothing and this adds risk of further opportunities for assailant attacks. The lack of lethal force in an instance like this is less than desirable and dangerous for the officers involved and the public roaming around the scene freely. I'm not an expert, treat my opinions accordingly.
@ArturNadol7566@JohnCleese@NHS@gmpolice Is there any sort of class action lawsuit fund that would address the legal needs of the victims? If not, shouldn’t there be?
I've just read a report on factually dot co that treads very lightly around the idea that there is empirical evidence that 63% of rape convictions are of Non-native Swedish populations rather than indigenous Scandinavians. It tries to leave the findings open to policy interpretations rather than concluding the obvious despite also referencing the decrease in reporting due to lack of probability that rape charges would lead to conviction in Sweden. With over 10,000 rapes in 2024, trending up 7% year-on-year, substantial in a small country like Sweden, can you really make a sensible case for policy and definition changes in the law, while also accepting that reporting is going down due to lack of convictions? It defies reason and should make someone with those views question their own reasoning. Do you think reporting the number of gang-related bombings in Sweden should also be considered slander? How about the Swedish government paying 34k Swedish Kronor for problematic immigrants to go home to their native countries? Is that slander too?
@PeterSweden7 I always wonder in these affected countries, why don't the citizens rebel and create a hostile environment for the attackers? Is it ignorance of the truth? Is being called a racist really that effective at preventing people from doing the right thing for their own society?
@InternetH0F Another gifted individual launching a criminal enterprise from their principal residence while videotaping it and then posting it on x for the world to see. A Brilliant mind.
As much as I know you're trying to say the right thing, that's bullshit,
@pierrepoilievre
. Partisan point scoring undermines your generally sensible messages. There are by some accounts a ten year supply of new condos that no one wants right now in Toronto. Not everyone wants to live in Toronto and shutting the door on fraudulent asylum claims is a VERY good thing. Affordable housing all over the country is the key. 35 year low because not many can afford housing prices due to inflation caused by quantitative easing and foreign real estate speculators. The feds should not ever fund general housing development, they should incentivize it by deregulating and reducing time for permits for residential projects and giving more tax breaks to those who do not currently own a home, regardless of first time buyer or not. Fed projects burn money, the bigger the project, the bigger the burn, at the expense of Canadian taxpayers. Toronto is in a major bubble that may not sustain itself without a torrent of uncontrolled immigration, so be it. It's ridiculous for a country as large as Canada to have such expensive housing.
