@juliathelast The latter ingredient is something typical of frittelle alla veneziana that is generally not present in frittelle made elsewhere within the region. p.s. Disclaimer: I do not work for them. I am a local from the region interested food, who spotted the place few years back.
@juliathelast In case you are interested, there is a place called Tonolo, where the make some really good frittelle, without custard. They contain raisins and pine kernels.
@juliathelast Sorry, I did not mean to scare you. I am not a mushroom expert, but Honey fungus is definitively not lethal. I know of people of who got food poisoning from Honey fungus, but, as far as I know, no one has died .
@juliathelast@anicegreenleaf I have never heard of "cadori". They do look like chiodini to me. I assume that chiodini may take different local names. Mind you that chiodini can show a slighly different colour, depending on where they grow and how old they are.
